Global Webinar I Coordinating Shock-Responsive Social Protection Systems in Humanitarian Settings
Wednesday, 20 January at 10:30 AM GMT+2.
Shock-responsive social protection systems and crisis interventions require coordination and collaboration among developmental, humanitarian and government stakeholders to ensure a coherent and effective emergency response in the short and long-term. Coordination, with the ultimate aim of developing and implementing social protection systems, requires alignment and harmonisation of all stakeholder activities, at the operational level, in a coherent and holistic way to reach clearly identified and shared objectives, at the policy level. But in many cases, the coordination efforts are in silos among stakeholders, and there are many bottlenecks in establishing a comprehensive system.
In EPRI’s global webinar, we delve deeper into the inner workings of inter-sectoral and multi-stakeholder collaboration drawing from our global base of practical examples and the best practice cases to establish and improve social protection systems. The speakers will discuss how to deliver social protection measures through enhanced coordination and how to build development synergies between stakeholders enabling an effective response, especially in protracted crises and shocks.
